Sherry Shaffer
Director of Development
Sherry is responsible for the development and fundraising at Yerkes. She received her MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Bolz Center for Arts Administration. She brings development and marketing experience spanning for-profit and non-profit sectors. She not only has a BFA in Drawing and Painting but has been a fan of astronomy since she was a child. She fondly remembers staying up to look at the stars and learn about the universe with her amateur astrophotographer father in the front yard of their rural Kentucky home. For Sherry, Yerkes is the perfect place to showcase STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) to the world.
