Director of Development

We’re currently searching for our first-ever Director of Development. This is an extraordinary position for a science-loving, arts-savvy fundraising leader who would be excited to join our small team.

Grounds and Maintenance Staff (part-time)

Yerkes is looking for a permanent, part-time Grounds and Maintenance staff member for a year-round, regular schedule of 16-24 hrs/week.

Pay: $18 – $22 per hour depending on experience

Hours will vary based on your availability, our need, and the season/need at Yerkes. There are occasional evenings and weekends for special events, scheduled in advance.

You will be working mostly outdoors reporting to our professional full-time facilities staff. Duties include general landscape care and maintenance, light building maintenance and similar work in and around the historic Yerkes campus and buildings.

A focus on safety is important to us. We also hope you’ll have prior experience in landscape, maintenance or light construction work and experience with equipment like power tools and landscape equipment. Key to us here at Yerkes is reliability, responsibility, and a positive outlook… we’re a small team and rely on each other.
