Emily Irwin

Communications and Marketing Lead

Emily is responsible for communications and marketing at Yerkes. She received her B.A. in history from Beloit College and her M.A. in historical administration from Eastern Illinois University. She grew up in nearby Clinton WI, and has worked in nonprofit marketing since 2013, primarily in museums. She has fond childhood memories of seeing the Observatory’s domes from across the lake and of driving all over the countryside to better view the night sky. Yerkes has always been a fascinating place to Emily, and she looks forward to sharing stories of its past, present, and future with new audiences.
