Join us for a special Community Day open house on Saturday, October 5 from 10am – 12pm! We’ll have solar observing outside on the South lawn if the weather is clear, engaging hands-on activities, scavenger hunts with prizes, presentations from Yerkes astronomers, food for purchase from Pastries by Chad, and more for your family to enjoy. 

The open house will take place rain or shine. This does not include use of telescopes within the building. We will have a limited number of tickets for sale to park on-site at the observatory, which are available for purchase on our ticketing website. These tickets are per car, and cost $25/car. We encourage carpooling! We also welcome community members to park at Williams Bay School (250 Theatre Rd, Williams Bay, WI 53191) and walk to the observatory to attend the event free of cost. Registration is not required for those walking to the observatory.  There will not be general admission parking on-site at the Observatory.
