It’s the Yerkes’ Annual Candlelight Walk through 2,000 candles! Friday, October 23rd & Saturday, 24th from 7-9:30 pm. Our wild yet manicured 50-acre Olmsted arboretum will be illuminated like an autumnal constellation. Discover the wonders of nature and enjoy an unforgettable night beneath the stars. Free shuttle to & from WB School. Fun, educational stations along the trails and inside the observatory. Big dome candlelit inside the observatory!
$15 for adults 19 years old and up. $10 for kids 18 years old and under.

This event is rain or shine, but tickets are flexible. If plans change, you are welcome to attend the other night instead.
All parking for the event is at Williams Bay High School (500 West Geneva Street). There is no on-site parking at Yerkes. Complimentary shuttle rides will run continuously between the school and Yerkes Observatory from 7-9:30 pm.
This is a self-guided, drop-in event. You may arrive anytime after 7 pm and stay as long as you like until the last shuttle departs at 9:30 pm. There will be opportunities along the path to learn more about Yerkes, nature, and the night sky, but there are no guided tours during the Candlelight Walk.
The Candlelight Walk does not include the use of the telescopes in the building, though all will be welcome to come inside to see the Great Refractor telescope and dome. Buy tickets for the event here.
