Kids Need Space Tour

NEW THIS SUMMER! Our fun and fast kids tour is for ages 2 to age 8 with an adult. For 30 minutes, our guides get the kids fired up for stars, planets, telescopes, and space. We visit the world’s largest lens telescope in the Big Dome and play our Sky Spy scavenger hunt by searching together for owls, dragons, globes, mustaches, Albert Einstein and his Yerkes friends, and hidden characters along the way. Pens and clipboards will be provided. We give you time to see our exhibits, visit the gift shop, and finish the scavenger hunt at the end.

NOTE: You must have at least one adult ticket for each group of kids’ tickets. For instance, if you have a family of four, one parent can bring two kids. If both parents come, you’ll need two adult tickets. If you’re an uncle entertaining five nieces and nephews, you’ll need only one adult ticket with the five kids tickets. If you’re a camp counselor and feel comfortable bringing a big group by yourself, we’re here for you!

Ages 10 and up are certainly welcome, but this is geared for the little ones and for parents who are searching for quick things to do for the single-digit kiddos. Our enthusiastic guides make this experience low pressure and all fun with a dash of learning, a pinch of silly, and a splash of space.
