Thomas Lennon and His Informal Reading of PRAIRIE DOG
Acclaimed actor and writer Thomas Lennon will host an informal reading of his new one-person play, PRAIRIE DOG, about the life of Wisconsin-born architect Frank Lloyd Wright who spent much of his career in Oak Park, Illinois where Lennon grew up. This performance is the first of its kind at Yerkes! It will be held on Saturday, August 1 from 6 to 7:15 p.m. IMPORTANT NOTE: This performance is for ages 19 and up. Thanks for understanding!
Thomas Lennon is a three-time Emmy-nominated producer, actor, and New York Times bestselling novelist. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, where he was a member of the influential sketch comedy group The State, the hit television series which ran on MTV for three seasons. After The State, he created two more series: Viva Variety and Reno 911!, on which he plays Lieutenant Jim Dangle.
His television writing credits include those aforementioned shows along with Strangers with Candy. He has co-written numerous feature films, including Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Reno 911!: Miami, The Pacifier, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Balls of Fury, Hell Baby, Baywatch, and Lionsgate’s forthcoming Casket Girls.
As a novelist, Lennon wrote the instant New York Times Bestseller: Ronan Boyle and Bridge of Riddles and its two sequels: Ronan Boyle and the Swamp of Certain Death and Ronan Boyle Into the Strangeplace. The Ronan Boyle series is in development as a feature film at DreamWorks.
